About Burk
Burk Consulting originated as a joint venture between Client First Services and
Dent K. Burk, P.C.
to support the technology needs of their clients. Burk Consulting continued to grow and as laws changed it became apperent that changes in
structure were needed. In 2003, Burk Consulting stepped out of the shadow of its namesake and became a separate entity. Our office in
Kingsport serves the Tri-cities and the region beyond, stretching as far as Memphis, TN, Dalton, GA, Hickory, NC, and Blufield, WV.
Today Burk Consulting has engineers specializing in mail systems, firewalls / security, router/switches, circuits, pc support, AS/400 support, Network Architecture, Windows
systems, and Unix/Linux.
The primary focus at Burk Consulting is to understand the business of our clients and the clients they serve. This is accomplished through
a process of "discovery" where interviews are conducted with key personnel. This is a dynamic process with the end result being a technology
plan that mirrors the clients' business plan. In partnering with industry-leaders such as IBM, Cisco Systems, Adtran, AT&T, and Symantec,
among others, we have assembled a suite of solutions that can individually and/or collectively address the entire spectrum of technology
issues faced by organizations and government agencies alike. Furthermore, we have partnered with key hardware vendors to provide for the
implementation of proven solutions, whereby Burk Consulting can provide the solution hardware and software components coupled with design,
implementation and project management services to facilitate a successful project.
